Persevering Through Adversity
“No matter who you are and where you come from, you choose the direction your life will go. Your family, your friends or your community does not set the standard for your success.” This is my message to anyone who has ever doubted his or her potential to a happy, successful and fulfilled life. I have chosen this platform because overcoming adversity through self-awareness and mentorship is possible if we Ho‘omau, persevere. The Miss America Program will be the catalyst for me to continue to inspire people, a constant reminder that everyone has the talent and skills to foster a better world.
